> he will have served another four years as President

Then he could pardon himself ...

Presidential pardons only cover federal cases and not State cases, so he could not pardon himself.

Although he has said that if elected, he will become a dictator – so he could then give himself such power.

Draw all the daft pictures you like SP, it is very likley true.

i am pretty sure that other US citizens have been prosecuted for falsifying business records so that obviously isn't true

Trump’s lawyer (Michael Cohen) and his Chief Financial Officer (Allen Weisselberg) have served jail time for their involvement in Trump’s criminal conspiracy; it would be an anathema for him to not be similarly jailed.

some years ago heavily armed members of a mexican drug cartel simply attacked the police and removed one of their own from custody.

if trump is put in jail then i think something very similar could happen. he commands the personal loyalty of a very large number of heavily armed people who simply will not tolerate him being imprisoned for any length of time.

//He's still got other trials to come hasn't he? The one for incitement to riot for the Capitol Building attack is next up isn't it?//

None of these will occur before the November election. If he wins he can use presidential pardon power to make these disappear - incredible I know, but apparently true.
