I've been asked to deliver 4 chairs, and they said they'll pay extra for the delivery. Its a round trip of 28 miles. How do I decide what to charge ?

The official HMRC business mileage rates for the tax year 2024/2025 are now confirmed, at 45p per mile for cars and vans for the first 10,000 business miles and 25p for each mile over the 10,000 mark. The rate for motorcycles is 24p, and 20p for bicycles.25 Mar 2024

seems OK - they cant cavill at that - 10 bobba mile, jesus

It's been the 'new' rate of 45p a Mile for at least 20 years, Peter. Should be nearer  a £ now with inflation.

But £20 seems reasonable.

What's the selling price of the chairs?

Question Author

40 for the 4

As a one off I would just charge the fuel cost.

£5

You could ask them how much they are offering to pay you.  If it was me I would offer your petrol cost plus something for your time.
