Are they not excruciatingly painful to wear?
I've worn them in the past, when young with no problems. Now with dodgy knees and hip they are a distinct 'No-no'. However, due to a couple of misplaced lumbar vertebrae, I can't wear flat shoes.
Now add tothe mix that my recent hip op. has left my r. leg a full inch longer than my left...... shoes are no longer fun. :(
PS I know a 70 yr.old who wouldn't beseen dead without 3" heels (unless they were her gardening shoes).
Having worn 5" stilletoes to work back in my office days all I can say ball of foot cushions, and good heelgrips are no substitute for soft leather and a fully cushioned sole. It's not just exclusivity that make the likes of Jimmy Choo, and Loubertins popular, they are a lot more comfortable. Only problem was the old style escalators, the treads were just wide enough to pull the bottoms off the heel. Trips to the menders every few days gets expensive
