It's different with my family, and a few really good friends, but if people don't behave towards me as I would towards them, then they're definitely off my Christmas card list.

Are you referring to the recent Jeremy Vine libel case? I think that apology was appropriate. I'm not a fan of Vine's but to falsely label him a paedophile and give out his home address to millions of people is wrong. An apology was necessary to convince Joey Barton's followers that there was no truth in his allegations.
