Hello all!

I scored a less-than-impressive THREE out of seven on the main quiz this week:
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-69135286

. . . and a 'middling' THREE out of five on the junior quiz:
https://www.bbc.co.uk/newsround/51318780

You can do better than that, can't you?

2/7,4/5. A better kid this week. Puss Puss and Bailey closely monitoring Slovakia's progress, a surprise opening win against Belgium followed by throwing away a lead against Ukraine today. Will all be down to the last match to see if they can get out of the group. Hope you and yours are enjoying the sunshine

Evening Chris.

Snap, indeed, Sam!

Thanks for keeping me company this week!

The same aggregate as me, I see, Campbellking, even if you're a little more childlike than me this week 😊

I hope that you've got loads of special treats ready for Puss Puss and Bailey to enjoy (while you're enjoying the Champagne, of course) when Slovakia win the Championship! ⚽

I staggered through them to just, only just by 3 guesses, beat you Buen. 4/7 and 3/5.

How are you and kitties? Tyke has spent the day in and out of the conservatory, heating up then cooling down and sleeping the while - well he is at least 15 1/2 yrs. old now and has quite a large heart murmur.  Doesn't stop him digging furiously for moles on his daily walk.

He's achieved minor cult status in our village through my stories about 'Laking Tyke' which have made their way to our school, and thoroughly enjoys the children's attention - hope they're not too disappointed by him being asleep most of the time (when not barking ferociously at visitors or dustbin men!).

Good Evening, Chris!

I'm afraid I can't beat your scores this week

3/7, 3/5 for me too

Thank you for the lovely update last week on Moonbeam, Chequers and Tablo. So lovely that they follow you even on trips out to the pub! Must be wonderful to get such a warm welcome from the terrific trio on your return home.

I have enjoyed spending more time with and having lovely cuddles from my grandpuppy, who has grown very quickly, so I probably shouldn't keep referring to him as a puppy!

He makes himself at home on his visits which is lovely, and I'm always on the look out for little treats for him.

Wishing you and the kitties a wonderful week ahead :-)

Well done on 'double middling' this week, Jourdain2!

The kitties and I are all well, thank you, although the Feline Threesome are well overdue for some flea treatment.  (I'm struggling to get hold of the stuff that works with them and is easy to give them.  I've had several wasted trips to stores that are meant to stock it, such as to Asda this evening, but none of them actually have it).

Tyke sounds lovely!

3/7 v 3/7

3/5 v 4/5

Hope you and your trio had a riotous Suffolk Day

and you're coping OK with the medical stuff...😊

Thanks - he's a mongrel rescue terrier, found chasing lorries on an A route in France near us.  He'd been with a circus or beggars because he stood on his hind legs (we put a stop to that) and will still run backwards between our legs.  They chuck out the youngsters when they grow up a bit.  He's still bilingual!

Hiya, Karamia

Welcome to the club!

All three cats were waiting for me, close to the community centre bar, when I left there on Wednesdy evening.  They never seem to want to be very far from their food provider!

I'm sure that, however old he gets, your canine friend will always be a puppy at heart 🐶

I hope that you'll have a lovely week!

Tyke sounds lovelier than ever now, Jourdain2!

Well done on being more childlike than me this week, Haras2!

The 'medical stuff' seems to be going OK, thanks.  My next telephone call from the consultant isn't until August, which will be the first one in six months and, if he's on his usual form, will last for around 90 seconds.  (He doesn't hang about!).

I hope that you're well too.

We don't do 'riotous' in Suffolk.  The biggest excitement we get around here is seeing a different-coloured tractor holding up all of the traffic on the road ahead of us 🙂

I still think that Nic-cola would be the perfect feline companion for you.  (She can live with dogs but needs a rural location):

I hope that you'll have a great week!

Then the dreaded Zero!

Question Author

Top of the table, as usual, Lie-in King!

Well done!

Well done too, Kwillmott!  After all, it takes something rather extra special to score zero in a quiz meant for kids! 😊

Congratulations on being a perfect kid this week, Scorpiojo!  (Allow yourself a bit more time on your rollerskates as a reward!)

😊

Good Evening Buen x

Hiya, Patsy!

At least you managed to stay well clear of any zero scores!

Better luck next week!

That's what I love about you Buen, you're so positive! Thanks...😀
