A steady day beckons for us today , we are signed up for a small/shortish sponsored walk this evening in Aid of our local Hospice, should be a fun evening we dont set off until 8PM

Margo, in those days it was always a few having a bash at it depending upon who was here first which was fine - but not real regulars like Waterboatman and Emmie were.  Of course it doesn't matter who posts it but whoever does it, it would be nice to see it running again.

Chipchopper has, for quite some time, tried  to keep GMEB going but, sadly, he was lucky if he received two, three, four replies.  There seemed to be an air of apathy.  It is a nice thread and I hope Smowball is successful running it.

Hi Smow I'm OK, apart from having osteoarthritis in both knees and hips😱It would be nice to see GMEB up and running again so go for it 😀 Hope you're keeping well

Well I've wanted to post on here for weeks about things as been feeling bit low, but seemed a bit pointless so didn't bother lol. I had the Race for Life 2024 booked to do nxt weekend with my MIL. Can't run it obv coz of my spinal injury, but was going to try n walk it no matter how long it took - just me,MIL  pain killers and water lol. Then a couple of weeks ago I found I was really out of breath just walking to the end of our road. Carried on for a few days. Long story short saw doctor who sent me to A & E that day, happened to be the day where many London hospitals were hit by a cyber attack on their systems, affecting blood tests results, operations were cancelled, it was a nightmare of a day. They had to send me home without all results but promised to call me.Which a doctor did at 8.30pm the nxt day. Basically according to all tests done so far I'm in early stages of heart failure lol! Someone up there really doesn't like me do they!!

Really sorry to read that, Smow .... I guess you will have to have further investigations? x

Current tests show heart is enlarged, fluid on lungs, left ankle/ v bottom of calf is swollen. Put on water tabs instantly and waiting for echo cardio gram.  Wud never ever have expected the doctor to say that when she called - I wa stunned. Was expecting chest infection at the most.

Well, we finished ok, enjoyable but I was jiggered by the end.
