I've just watched a bit of that debate.  I think the kindest thing I can say is that it was cruel to send Mr Biden out there.  He clearly isn't capable.   Surely he'll be replaced?

Horrifying - the only thing between a dangerous, self-deluding criminal and the Presidency is a very old and increasingly confused man who needs care and rest - not four more years in The White House.

I pray that the Democrats find their cojones (as TTT would probably say in this Spanish themed thread) and ditch Biden sonner rather than later - it's far from clear who they have who could beat Trump, but Biden surely can only lose now.

I suppose if Biden won but soon became incapacitated then his veep would take over. If it's Harris she may be more able but is not well liked apparently.

If Kamala Harris was any good at all, she'd already be the candidate - but she's been an unpopular (and by all accounts lazy/incompetent) member of the Biden administration and is only on the ticket again because the policy wonks dared not take the risk of ditching a black woman.

Michelle Obama is probably the only person who could be parachuted in at this late stage and beat Trump - but I doubt she'll be willing.

Most of the other contenders will want to wait for 2028 ... I just hope there's an America left worth governing by then. 😥
