When To Claim State Pension Query.?

Hi I will be eligible to claim State Pension this October 30th.  Do you have to inform the Pension Office in advance .?  and if so what office and telephone number is it please.? TIA.

They write to you to invite you to claim..about 3 months before it's due.

I never received an 'invite' to claim my pension and, as a result, i was a quite late in going online to do so. Consequently, by the time things had been sorted out, my pension was almost 3 months late in appearing in my bank account, backdated of course.

If i were you Cleoval, i would get the necessary documents together now in readiness for when you claim. If your invite hasn't arrived by the end of next month, just go online and claim it anyway.

My state pension is due 5th October and I had a letter a couple of weeks ago so I'm sure yours is imminent.
