I watch Four in a Bed occasionally and am sometimes impressed how they cook the breakfast in a domestic kitchen without using every pot and pan they own.

How do you do it?

DDIL, AI?

I can't remember the last time I fried an egg, we all prefer poached eggs.  I exceed at poaching eggs, can't understand why some people have a problem with them.  My wife can't understand why I can't make proper gravy.

Are you using sort form of text speak, 1ozzy?  Is your last post a dingbat?

naomi, my dad had your breakfast every morning, after his porridge with molasses.  He never missed, cooked it himself, too, and washed up.

He made awful tea though, even our tea mad dogs wouldn't drink it

I don't know how people eat huge amounts of food, Barry.   I dread being invited to friends who present dinner ready dished up.  When we have guests we always put everything in serving dishes for everyone to help themselves.  That way no one gets what they don't want.

Question Author

I'm the same, Naomi. Even when I was obese the sight of food piled up on a plate turned my stomach.  Couldn't bear going to carveries like Toby's.

I couldn't eat a king size Mars bar - can you still buy them?

I don't know - but Mars bars used to be my favourite chocolate. I'd forgotten all about them.

Question Author

I used to like a standard size Mars bar

I can't remember when I last ate a chocolate bar.  I might get a Mars bar today - just for old times sake.  😂

Question Author

I haven't had one for years.  I was genuinely shocked by how small they are when I noticed them in the newsagents a few weeks ago. All the chocolate bars seems to have shrunk.

I think a Mars bar was 28p last time I bought one

Sounds to me like you're all on the express cholesterol train to hell.

🙂

Not me, khandro.  I very rarely have a cooked breakfast - and I very rarely eat chocolate bars.  I eat little and healthily.

Question Author

I eat a very simple, healthy diet these days, Khandro.

One Weetabix with a little muesli, one slice of toast, c'est tout !

Though I may have an occasional boiled or scrambled egg on Sundays instead.

Question Author

My breakfast is 2oz porridge cooked with water.  Nothing else.
