Rather difficult to explain, l will do my best…. Whenever I go to bed,the light is off but hall light still on so my room not in total darkness. When I close my eyes then open them separately, and look at the pale ceiling, it looks like what I can only describe as a black 'ink blot’ in my eye, this happens with both eyes. Then it fades. Could this be degeneration? Hope this makes some sense and someone can understand what causes this. I have been told I have mild macular degeneration in both eyes.
Looks like it could well be the macular degeneration...see here.

Go to answerbank's home page where the poll is. Stare at the top magenta rectangle with Tesco in it for about 15 seconds. Now look at a plain part of the page and you will see the rectangle in green with several smaller green blobs beneath it (the other shop scores). The eye gets tired looking at the same thing and starts to switch off - looking at something plain shows what you were just looking at but in reverse colours; white beomes black, blue becomes yellow etc.
