Get a program ,off Google , called Picasa2 and install that on your comp. then using either a card reader or ,if you have the facility, slide your memory card,(out of the camera, ) into the card reader or the front of your computer.
Card readers cost about a tenner and some computers have multipe readers intalled on the front!! of the tower - the usual connection into the computer is via a USB.
Have you tried clicking on My Pictures folder? I'm sure you will get sorted.

Go into my computer (you should find it either on your desktop, perhaps top-left, or in your start menu). There your CD drive should appear, maybe with a title of your camera manufacturer or sometihng... either way, double-click it to open it up. There'll be a file called setup.exe there. Double-click it.
This is what I do. I haven't installed anything!
I assume you will be connecting your camera to the comp with a usb line. Do it, switch the camera on and your comp will detect 'removable disc' (this is your camera!) A window should open showing a yellow file. you can right click the yellow file and select 'send to my documents' this will copy the file and all your photos within to your documents folder.
I've used this method with 3 different cameras, I prefer to use the windows printing stuff cos it's simple and straightforwards. I'll check later, let me know if this helps. Each time you've sent a file from your camera, give the file a name or title so when you do it again the comp won't be confused by two files having the same name and stopping you sending.
