It'll be great to be able to sit outside a pub again without getting gassed. If addicts want to continue with their disgusting smelly habit let them do it their own homes. Perhaps pub doorways now will be clear of heaps of smoking detritus.

I totally agree. On the very few sunny days we have its nice to sit outside for a meal in a beer garden or restaurant. However doing this you are likely to get fag smoke blown in your face by morons who think they have the right to contaminate your lungs and food with their exhaust fumes.

I am in two minds on this one.

On the one hand I am all for it, be nice to sit out in the pub garden smoke free but there are other problems with this proposal.

1) SKS seems to be justiying it by saying the NHS will have less of a burden.  Well that is franly cobblers, stopping soking in pub gardens wont stop people smoking.

2) I am wary of this drip drip of restricting our freedoms.  We saw during Covid how draconian a Government can get and now we have the totalitarian Government run by Chairman Starmer we see free speech being eroded.  Where will it stop?

3) Yes, smoking now, what next?  Meat, Booze, sugar....?

Perhaps he should start with the smoking room in Westminster. Then move on to the private clubs and shisha lounges that proliferate in Londonistan. Just to set a good example you understand. Not being vindictive in any way and all that is. Or 2 tier smoking rules now as well is it?
