Cornbread

i want to make some cornbread, but all the recipes need cormeal, polenta or maize flour.  where can i buy them?

Any left over cornmeal  you can then use to make cornmeal porridge

I'm pretty sure you can use polenta...it's the same thing. The grain might be very slightly coarser but not enough to make a difference. 

Even in Barry's link, it says "Also known as maize flour and polenta, corn meal is high in protein and low in fat. It is widely used in Mexican and Creole cuisine."

I was trying to find cornmeal locally (ie Northern Ireland) but in the end had to order some from Amazon. 

So if you're stuck, you can fall back on Amazon.  Mine was delivered next day.
