John Wayne plays the Mongolian warlord , Genghis Khan .

It's a bit unconvincing when the make up department did not do a better job of making him look like , well,  a Mongolian .

You keep thinking that he still looks like John Wayne in a western ,heading off the bad guys at the pass - lol

There were very few films in which he played anything other than John Wayne; the centurion in The Greatest Story Ever Told being the best/worst example of that.
