I think part of the problem is that an unusually large number are being released at the same time - no accomodation available etc.

Presumably any post on Facebook or elsewhere that might upset an Islamist, as it now seems to be a hate crime to offend anyone, so free speech must be curtailed and everything censored.

So now lets hear what everyone would do with to solve the problem. I might add that the cons have known about for some time while they where in office. They had many years in power to start construction of new prisons. Mostly they spent their time choosing which court houses to close down so as to delay any cases even coming to court in the first place. Many thanks in advance for your suggestions. :0)

My first choice is to out source to somewhere like Turkey or Albania but I know the trobiscites would never allow that so we have to build more prisons. In the mean time use the many disused military installations to set up temp jails like POW camps.

They could arrange to export the criminals to foreign gaols. They could construct low security gaols quickly for low offence/near end sentence prisoners who would have too much to lose to abscond leaving more secure cells for bad guys, they could stop arresting folk for having an opinion too. That's just off the top of my head, I'm sure others can add more.

Thousands up on thousands of cases delayed due to the cons closing hundreds of court houses across the country down to save money, so they said?

What is the point of giving out sentences which will never be served?  I thought the whole point of Kier Starmer is he was effective at prosecutions- how is letting criminals off early any sort of deterrent?

There's a massive prison mothballed in Belfast.  It could hold 2 or 3 thousand prisoners at a squeeze.

There are many former prison officers who would be more than happy to staff it.

The answer to the overcrowding is closer than Estonia.

Would you all, also come up with any ideas on how to increase staffing levels within the prison system, because its nothing to do with pay, its the dangers they face/ lack of staff, due to over crowding. The more that leave the higher the danger. Many thanks.
