... private landlords.
How could disgruntled Tories spin this to show Labour in a bad light?

There's some good aspects for renters but often these things have unintended consequences. It may put off some current landlords from staying in the business and may deter potential landlords. It may also encourage some bad tenants to push things as far as they can.
they cant really as they had a bill as well - which was ... slower and then so slow it ran out of time
BUT SKS favours just repealing s 21 and letting the courts sort out the mess - No one has said, that if you have a tenant who is in arrears without a hope of paying them, then go for a s.21 and just get them out. ( and lose the arrears which you were not gonna ever get. ) - NB NOT tax deductible.
a s8 application can be defended with any old crap and there has to be a court hearing - and the canny tenant ( who seem to be a lot on Paul Cahmplina's programme) can offer to pay arrears of £50 a month ( intending to pay nothing relaly ) and the whole carousel starts again
No spin necessary. Just point out that Labour are to introduce legislation to remove the rights of landlords/ladies to regain their property when they no longer eish to be renting it out.
Surely everyone can see how ridiculously one sided the law already is without giving tenants even more unjustified privileges ?
As said above labour spectacularly fail to understand unintended consequences. It will without doubt caus many to sell up meaning less properties for rent and its estimated a 10% rent rise.
The problem with socialists is that they have no understanding of market dynamics because they have no understanding of free market economics. And we see that continually on here, the far left are even worse.
As soon as the state starts to interfere everything goes south.
