He's just stated the obvious so far. But let's give him chance to oversee change. Unfortunately change done badly leads to mess and confusion, but maybe we'll be pleasantly surprised. My guess though is for several years we'll be told 'things were even worse than we thought due to the Tories '

David Cameron said the NHS is safe in the hands of the CONs. Splutter Splutter. Now look at the sorry state it is in and the mess they have left for Labour to sort out for Tory neglect.

If it's reform or die, you can be sure the answer will be die.  Labour have no plan for fixing the NHS.

Mess and confusion is already, and has been for a long time already in operation. But the cons have been telling us a whole different story for a long time. The cons also spent most of their time fighting eachother for pole position, ignoring the real problems of this country.

12.23 - nobody on this thread has complained  there are no funds forthcoming - you're making stuff up.

Whatever lovey^^

Anyone who imagines Labour have any clue whatsoever about the NHS should look at their very sorry record in Wales. Same old Labour.

Same old complains^^ There's a lot more bitter pills on the shelf ready to be dished out. You can thank the cons for the supply.

Are you proud of Labour's record on the NHS in Wales?!   Morons.

Yes KS is going to sort the morons out also. :0)

Perhaps chopping pensioners winter fuel allowance is part of Keir's amazing plan for reforming the NHS.

Naomi: //What has he said needs doing?//

1. Prevention not cure. Already today's teen are fuelling an obesity epidemic. Turning that around will take decades not 1 or 2 parliaments.

2. More technology. Massive costs, massive failures (Horizon anyone?)

3. More community care. Funded by? Staffed by?

Complete idiot.

I think his NHS "reforms" will be as effective as his "smash the smuggling gangs" will be on stopping small boats!

^^ You mean like Sunaks pledge in stopping the boats. :0)))))

Maybe if Rwanda had been given a shot? But not with SKS.

TBF the PM has a point. Money is not the issue. The NHS has the same problem that all public sector operations have. Too many empire building administrators and the overriding attitude that the job exists for the wroker to have a job, the function of that job is secondary. There must be vast savings to be had in the day to day running and he's right to say it will take 10 years. Credit where it's due.

Spot on TTT

//Too many empire building administrators and the overriding attitude that the job exists for the wroker to have a job, the function of that job is secondary. //

Anyone who thinks that reforms will address that is living in cloud cuckoo land. The likelihood is it will get worse.

Empire building was the problem also with the con party. Far to many fingers in foggy companies.

13:37 I don't suppose they will address that but I was just pointing out that is one of the big problems of the NHS.
