L'Entrecote for fab steaks, featured on Rick Stein's 'A weekend in...' programme.

It's seven years since we went to Bordeaux and I can't remember any specific names, but there are lots and lots of wonderful restaurants throughout the city. We ate out every evening and didn't have one bad experience. Just wander around the centre of the city and see what takes your fancy.

You will not be disappointed with Bordeaux at all, it's a beautiful place.

PS Take advantage of the tram system. There are two main routes which intersect; when we were there it was 1 euro for a ticket no matter how many stops you stayed on for.

Just crossed posts with DTC and I do remember L'Entrecote but you'll probably have to queue; it's that good and popular.

It's a few years since I was last in Bordeaux but I think that it would be hard to go wrong if you chose any restaurant/bistro in the lovely Place du Parlement.

e.g. L'Ombrière:
