Welcome to Title Builder Beta.

This small piece of kit is designed to make building your Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle question more effective. It should make finding your question easier for others and, the easier it is to find, the more likely someone is to answer it!

To build an easy to find question title simply select the paper and quiz, enter the quiz number if relevant and fill in the Publication Date. Once you’re happy click “Build Title” and the information should populate the Title field. Fill in the final required details of your question as you normally would, and click submit.

As this is a Beta we only have a limited number of papers and quizzes listed. If you think your favourite Quiz, Crossword or Puzzle should be listed here don’t hesitate to contact us.

Remember: You do not have to use the title builder - simply enter the title and question as you normally would and click submit!

Good morning, I’ve enjoyed getting all the Unclueds except one at 39a ( AL?M?S?NS ) which, I guess, must be a three word answer. I’m also stuck on the following clues for which I would appreciate help, thanks.

1a Stupid gents boy cleaned out (5) : L??H?

14 a Senior soldier adult axed dead in Morse? (5) : ?OD?D

2d Music festival old contralto mounts (5) : ??T??

PREAMBLE:Nine unclued lights (including two of three words and three of two with one in short form, ignore an apostrophe) have been seen on 35. A clued light gives a further example also in short form and must be shaded. Elsewhere, ignore an accent.

Thanks, NACW, once again I got Becket, but was expecting the title of a play. Now, is this the answer to shade in reference to Beckett?
And, looking at the title, I tried anagramming the whole thing instead of Madras alone.

Thanks, NACW, I went astray somehow because I'm familiar with Anouilh. And, of course, Ionesco comes to the rescue to supply the short form. It's done now and I'll be having a look at the Inquisitor. Thanks again, and till tomorrow for the EV, perhaps!
