I bought some from John Lewis last winter. Annoyingly, they didn't quite match the colour of the same line of sheets. However, as I'm the only person who has ever seen them, no big deal.

I bought some silk ones last week as I heard they don't make a mess of your hair like cotton ones do. When I get up in the morning my hair looks like I just stuck my fingers in an electric socket. Hopefully, these silk ones will keep my hair smooth. Unless there's static in them!

Yes, but also because 90% of my online retailing  is bedding lol, so I'm constantly surrounded at home by pillowcases, duvet sets, pillow protectors, sheets etc...... lol

Had a major cull of all the bedding during lockdown and replaced much of it. Bought loads of pillowcases, cheaper ones for underneath and pure cotton Oxford ones for on top, simply because we both like sleeping on nice cotton ones.

All our bedding for all the beds is white so I don't ever have to match anything with anything else. All towels are white too so they don't need to be matched to the bathroom colours.

dunno about pillow cases - the duvet cover currently on my bed (I have 2 others) I bought in 1984.

I have bought silk ones twice in the last 3 years (for reasons as above). Although I've always washed them correctly with the utmost care both are torn to bits. They are not cheap either.
