singer forgot words at a live concert ?

has any singer forgot words at a live concert or a member of band played wrong notes/beats on their instruments?

Dusty Springfield was noted for not knowing the words and she had prompts written on her hands with ball point pen but I don't remember if she ever sang the wrong words on stage. Great voice though.

Ive seen snowpatrol and he forgot the words a couple times also Taking Back Sunday's front man Adam Lazzara has been known to stuff his accoustic solo song devine intervention but i havent seen it for maself so dont take it as 100% fact

Seen kd lang in concert a few times and she sometimes forgets her words or sings out of time to the music. One perfomance she was doing this and you could see one of her guitarist getting a bit peeved off by it..it was obvious her timing was completely out.

On the 'Whistle Test' documentary years ago, when The E Street band were intro'ing The River, you could see Springsteen snapping his fingers furiously behind his back to get them to double the time before his vocal came in. Fair enough, it was a brand new song then.

I saw Steve Harley earlier this year, and he forget the words to 'Mr Raffles' - and I have never seen that hapen before in 35 plus years of gigs - guess I must be lucky, or I have just seen class bands!

I've seen a couple of bands just stop the song because someone or other has screwed up. Fun Lovin' Criminals... but Huey is just too cool not to forgive them. And Blur... forgotten which song, but Damon was off his trolley...

Fran Healy for Travis had a night mare at the Isle Of Wight Festival and kept forgetting the words to one of their bigger hits and had to resort to jumping of the front of the stage and asking somebody from the crowd. Very amusing and the whole point I think of going to a live show, a bit of spontenaity you just wouldn't get on an album. They were called up at short notice cos Morrisy pulled out a couple of weeks prior so they can be let of a bit.

Didn't Ceryys Matthews from Catatonia have a complete disaster on stage & just couldn't remember the lyrics. Albeit , she did have a breakdown afterwards so I won't hold it aginst her.

I've heard a live recording of Jonie Mitchell doing Big Yellow Taxi where she did one of the verses twice and realised it as she sung it so after every line of the verse she sung "again. ...I heard the screen door slam, again A big yellow taxi took away my old man, again. Etc.
