Yes it's late, I've  lost track of time this morn lol. Was checking if MrSmow had everything he needed as he is going away today again for a couple of days with work, or did he need anything washed/ironed.......

Was a terrible evening/night with rain and expected the same this morn but woke up to bright blue skies and at the mo we still have them, so hopefully a dry few hours. I know I say it over and over but I really don't like it when the days get shorter.
So just me and the cats/remote this eve again!! Need to find something good to watch! Any suggestions let me know! : )

Good morning Smow. Cannot believe I am the first one to answer at gone 9am - I am usually one of the last!! I like watching "Who do you think you are" on BBC1, it is Gemma Collins tonight. Also the classic film "The Big Sleep" with Humphrey Bogart is on, if you like old films.

Going to get my hair cut today as I am fed up of it falling in my eyes. Also I will book an appointment to have it cut before Xmas. Iwash it myself and cannot remember the last time I had a "shampoo and set" or a perm. Have a good day.

Morning calda! Yes you are the first lol.
My hairdresser is so lovely. She used to work at a local salon, but then when she decided to go freelance we kept in touch and now I usually go to her house, though occasionally she will come to me. If I could have one extravagance it would be for her to professionally blow dry my hair every week! I loathe drying my hair as I can never get it to look how I want , but when she does it well it looks amazing lol!

Morning.  I'm watching The Wives at the moment.  You might like that snow.

I very very rarely add to this thread, but in this casr i just had to. If only to give you folks a little chuckle to begin your day.

When i first saw the 'header' in the 'Latest Posts' column, i thought it read;

"Good Morning Thunder Birds"

And, before you suggest it, i am actually wearing a pair of Specsavers best. 😉

Morning all.  We are binging on Line of Duty from Series 1.  Disappointed we are half way through series 3 and Ted has only said 'Mother of God' once and 'fella' two or three times.

Calda has mentioned the C word. She should be banished to the wilderness for a week.

Morning.  I still feel like pants.  The congestion and coughing seems to have eased slightly, only to be replaced with shivers, aches, light headedness and ahem, digestive issues.  We are both the same.  Still I managed to get an "Energy Switch" scammer to hang up on me yesterday.

Me (answering the phone):  Hello

Cold Calling Cretin:  Hi, this is Sam from (insert company name), how are you today?

Me:  I've got flu

CCC:  That's great, now

Me (interrupting):  You just said it is great that I have flu, how do you think the rest of this call is going to go?

CCC:  (Hangs up)

Hi Naomi - I saw that advertised, thanks for reminding me! Mite well give that a go 👍

Ken,I quite like Thunder Birds lol, may use it in future ; )

barry - Line of Duty is just brilliant isn't it. Can never remember the name of the main actor but he is just amazing!

And barmaid - I'm just laughing over you on the fone as that's exactly the sort of thing I'd say lol!  Hope you carry on feeling better tho. No more hair of the dog to help?? : )

Morning all. Its another grey day here, I hate the darker nights and we are  not that far away from the shortest day.

Barry I love Line of Duty, though one of the series I had to write down the acronyms so I could keep track. I shall put it on my list of things to rewatch, its a bit like my book list, lengthy. no wee donkey yet?

Does anyone else think the standard of driving has deteriorated in recent years, we live down narrow country lanes and some drivers treat it like Brands Hatch.

Have a happy  day everyone

Morning  rosetta Hun. Yes we went to. Isit my in-laws a few weeks ago in their new house, which is beautiful, but most of the way to it is down long lanes completely off track, and most of the journey all I kept saying was if one more lunatic comes round the next bend at 60mph towards me we're done for!! There were no street signs, no lights, just this narrow long lane and nobody else seems to give a monkeys how dangerous it was!

No wee donkey so far.

Hope you are much better soon, Barmaid.  Just don't breathe over my posts, please

Good morning, the rain has just stopped in the last half hour, don't know for how long. I have the gardener coming this afternoon, hope it's dry for her visit.
Got a call in to the GP, my back has been itchy for months, but it's getting worse by the day, it sounds nothing much, but it starts the minute I get up and lasts all day. Applying dermol cream to no avail. Oh well.
I didn't get out yesterday, but as soon as I get my call-back I really must go and draw some cash.
Just packing up a parcel of prem knits to post off too when I finally get out.
Wishing everyone a good day 😀

Glad its not just me Smow. I must admit to getting old and craggy though. The lady that walks our dog had some moron crash into her yesterday, fortunately she wasnt hurt, but her car came off the worst.

Glad you are feeling a bit better BM, some of these lurgys  seem to linger

Ferlew - an itch is one of these things that whilst not usually serious it can drive you to complete distraction. Hope you get some sort of answer to it.

Thanks all.  I'll get there.  We both said we have not felt this bad since we had covid.

Don't start me on country lanes.  We live in the middle of nowhere but unfortunately, we get used as a rat run - particularly when other roads are closed.  People have absolutely no idea of how to adjust their driving for the conditions.

Barmaid - MrSmow is never ill, think I've said so a few times, he just doesn't catch anything, but two days ago he said he felt rough and keeps clearing this throat, feels totally bunged up etc and even resorted to taking paracetamol this morn which is unheard of for him. Asked him if he still felt ok to go away this afternoon and said he didn't  have much choice. Hope ur on the mend soon  - you need to whip up a fabulous medicinal linctus!

Barmaid, round here you would be living on a rabbit run.  Rat runs are back road short cuts in cities for us Black Country and Birmingham folk, rabbit runs are short cuts in rural areas.
