I have now lost 2 and half stone - some months ago I don't know what happened but I couldn't eat for about 4 weeks - just sips of water. However when I weighed myself couldn't believe what I saw on the scale.
However what I don't understand whilst lost the weight definitely cannot feel it in my clothes - everything just feels as tight.
That amount of weight loss without trying to lose weight should be investigated, especially if you are losing it everywhere but around the middle. See your GP
My friend has a stomach condition and quite often doesn't eat for several days at a time. She says the same thing as you, yet I can see she has lost weight, very odd. She is undergoing various tests to find tge problem so maybe you should check in with the doctor.
Rowan - I have just joined a new surgery from today (Monday) - maybe get some answers there too.
There was one pair of trousers I did wear about two weeks ago and I couldn't believe they kept falling down - never have had trousers fall down in my life but they were the only pair. However I do wear stretchies so that probably helped
A lot of rapid weight loss is water. essentially the body stores glucose all over the body suspended in water, as that energy is utilised the water is excreted. That's why dieters always lose well early on.
The reason you may not realise in your clothes that you are losing weight is because the clothes you wear are 'stretchies' that means that previously they were tight and now they hang better.
Elasticated waistbands and stretchy clothes are the reason folk put weight on without realising it.
You soon notice an extra few pounds with a rigid waistband and fitted shirts.
