I've always been a big believer that you should buy the best skincare you can afford and even then push the boat out. Exfoliate, exfoliate, exfoliate! Any moisturiser is wasted on dead skin. Apply moisturisers in gravity-defying upward strokes and eye creams by dabbing it in all around your eyes with your ring fingers.

Boots No 7 Future Renew is excellent stuff if you want to knock a few years off.

Egg whites are a temporary solution.  An old fashioned remedy some people use.

^^^ The No 7 website has further product suggestions from their range - but they're certainly not cheap!

I don't mind spending the money if these cosmetic treatments actually work ...  but are they just for faces that haven't 'dropped' yet!!??

No.7 is good. A bit pricy but worth it.

I use Olay Retinol 24 Night face cream both night and day.  It's usually half price in Sainsbury's at £19.   I find it's the only moisturiser that has made any difference to my face.  However, a beauty therapist friend has told me that retinol works by thinning the skin so erasing fine wrinkles.  I'm 67 so if I can hold back the wrinkles for a few years I won't worry about thinning skin.

I recommend loving the face you have.

I like Olay 7 in 1.  I got a set of night cream when I bought the day cream for 12.99 on special offer in Savers.

Best thing I've used on my skin, even the more expensive ones.  Will buy it again when this runs out.

Nature does us a kindness by dulling our eyesight as we age.

The best solution is to take your glasses off before looking in the mirror.

I would guarantee the only person noticing your fine lines and teeth is you. Don't get obsessing about them.

My recommendation is grow old disgracefully and enjoy doing so.

Don't bother trying to hide the fact.

Wrinkles, grey hair, saggy bits, etc.

All a part of aging, along with mountains of wisdom collected over the years that can be shared with those that need it.

Embrace your aging, share your collective knowledge.

All you old farts, stand up and be appreciated!!! #wrinkly old farts

I agree with OG and Ozzy.

Probably because you're old grey and covered with wrinkles yourself Canary, but, have the knowledge of many years to share with others 😉

I have the knowledge of many years. Now if only I could recall what it was 🤔

I totally get this! The skin around the mouth is vulnerable  because  its thinner and  always moving with our expressions. Thankfully, there are many gentle and effective alternatives to Botox that can help reduce fine lines. Have you tried out products that have hyaluronic acid or peptides? They have work wonders for some of us through good moisturization and collagen production support. Squalane, is my personal favorite, for hydrating and plumping the skin.

I have heard that non-invasive treatments like microneedling or LED light therapy can really go a long way to help stimulate collagen and tighten the skin. All in all always remember to apply sunscreen as those UV rays can be quite sneaky!
