It seems that Labour MP's have been given a cheat sheet in order that they can answer normal everyday questions about the cost of living etc.  Is this proof that MP's are not living in the real world and need help to explain what the impact of their policies are having on us all?

City & Guilds exams were pretty difficult and demanded accuracy. I did C&G Shorthand/Typing & Bookkeeping following A levels - my mum wanted me to, for security of employment (it was like that in the late '60s).

Come off it TCL.

4 - 5  GCSE's at C (even if you accept an employment agency's estimate of the valueof an NVQ) is not a great academic qualification.  Why didn't she sit GCSEs, do we know?

I hadn't realised she was pregnant at 16 as well.  You can, of course, sit GCSEs later at 6th form college or other places. I've known lots of kids like that (I knew I'd taught some of them about contraception, they just thought that it didn't apply to them - or that's what they told me later).

Decent humans though the ones I've known have turned out to be - I wouldn't trust them with helping to run the country.
