Granted we don't know hours billed, but these sums are eyewatering. £500k for 30 barrister consultations is an average of over £16.5k. We don't know the complexities, but if memory serves Roooney told Vardy false things in confidence to see if they would appear on Social Media...which they did. Seems pretty straightforward. Yes I know it would have been far more complex than that, but even so over £1.6m in costs seems astonishing.
