I am on the Motorway.com app on ipad and have submitted several photos which they have received.

Suddenly the camera's bright white button  turns grey which means I cannot take photos to upload onto the app.

I have checked, privacy>camera>motorway and switched on to allow access for them.

Any help as to how to rectify the problem ? Thanks

Is there a limit on how many photos you can upload to your listing?

They have an online chat service if you have problems with photos etc at the bottom of this page

Motorway.com needs you to upload 16 photos.  How many photos have you uploaded?

Question Author

hi barry, they have asked for 17 specific photos plus a few additional .... no limit.

I have submitted 11 so far with no problem

Try the webchat, I'm stumped.  I assume you can still take photos of other things with the iPad?

Question Author

The chat is not good, mostly a bot .

I will try bookbinders link. The camera is working fine, but not on the app

I hope I have  finally discovered how to fix.The privacy setting doesn't work if it is permanently switched on. I have to turn it off and then, only when asked for each photo,  turn it on again.  Crazy

Glad you've got to the bottom of it.  Hope the car sells quickly

Thanks Barry. It's a stressful process

It always is ☚ī¸

Now give up on the app. as it is still now working properly so agreed with motorway to submit all photos and retakes via email.

*given up

This things are supposed to make easier :(

Sold for £3141 via carwow, being collected 14th October .fingers crossed 🤞🤞

Is that what you hoped for?  Have they seen the car in the flesh?

Question Author

More  than I expected. They have photos of every dent, scratch plus umpteen even more they requested.

Question Author

Barry, this is copied from the terms of sale >

"Remember, it’s important to keep the car clean and in the same condition it was when you listed it. This will reduce the chance of the need to renegotiate the price on the collection day. We all find these last minute price adjustments a bit of a disappointment."

So.... wish me luck.  A bit of a reduction would be acceptable. It has to go though..đŸ˜ĸ

Good luck.  Selling cars is my least favourite thing.  I usually take the easy option and part exchange.

I once sold a car privately and a chap called round to view it, he was happy with it and said he was buying it for his daughter as she had just passed her test.  He bought his daughter to see it and she loved it.  Problem was they couldn't afford the asking price as the insurance they'd been quoted was a lot higher than expected.  Money was very tight, as he'd been off work sick for a few months.  I caved in, agreed to the lower price.   I casually asked him what he did for a living and when he'd be back at work.  He was a chief superintendent and back at work the next week.  Of course he was on full pay whilst he off sick.

That's me, too trusting

Question Author

I am always suspicious and cautious.

It's in my nature. If he arrives and quotes too low, I may just SORN the car, or threaten to do so.

My husband was far too trusting.
