My friends took some fab photos last night from the towpath, they live on a narrowboat

I see many posts on facebook etc showcasing the northern lights. I have seen them many times from a high altitude but they don't look anything like that.  They actually look like a kind of whishy washy green colour. It's people's moble phones that change the colour and that is not a true picture.
