I saw the article, started to read it, got to the bit where they stated it was technically correct (an admission that the claimants were spouting rubbish then) but misleading (which it clearly isn't) and wondered why there was such a lack of real news to report on that the BBC felt the need to print such garbage to fill up the page.

 

Perhaps no one understands the concept of "infinite time" ? Maybe it's just me that does then.

Was it always just the one monkey?

I seem to remember it as an infinite number of monkeys given an infinite amount of time - which may, or may not, stand a better chance of succeeding.

it's an infinite number of monkeys and infinite time. If both are indeed infinite then all out comes are not only possible but certain.
