My Lg Smart Tv - Help With Using A Usb!

I have a nearly new 55UR81006LJ TV and thanks to this forum I have been able to set up and use all the smart features except.....on my last TV I could just plug in a USB with my photos and see them. I have read the manual back and front and cannot see how to do this!

The manual says - using the 'magic remote' there is a little button under the main button in middle of remote which is for 'external' and to press this but it is not on my remote. There is a button opposite home but if I press that it just gives me things like live tv - BT box - etc etc.

I have put the usb in one of my usb ports and it lights up but that is all. On the tv there is a little grren box called 'home hub' but if I click on this it gives me lots of options but none for usb!

It must be something simple? please help

Try putting the USB in another port.  It may be in a 'service port' which is for TV engineers only

You are correct as usual Barry!

I have numerous usb ports and as I am disabled somewhat it is difficult to see behind the tv.

I could not read the markings against the ports so just chose another and it worked! Did not even have to find the approriate buttonb on my remote as soon as I put in the USB the photos appeared

Hurrah!  It should be made clear in the manual, I read it online and no mention of a service port

Now you have it try this.

AS uyou have difficulty getting to the USB socked get an extension USB cable off Amazon and keep it plugged in permanently.

You can then run it to somewhere convenient at the front and plug in you photos there whwever you want!
Cables are cheap.
