Going to the gym - daily protein requirement
4 Answers
I'm working out 4 times a week in the gym and doing circuit training on 2 of the other days.
I'm trying to lose weight as well and am eating about 70g of protein per day - Is this enough to maximise muscle gain?
Please help

The average person can only make use of about 30g of protein and 30g of carbs at one sitting (from what I've read anyway; I'm no doctor).
Make sure you're eating enough carbs too, otherwise the protein will just go to waste. And make sure you get the right compliment of vitamins and minerals to help you use the protein to its maximum benefit.
Drinking plenty of water is also good for losing weight.

Well a good mix of fruit and veg is always better, since it contains more than just the vitamins etc. you can get in a pill.
Also, how are you getting your protein? From protein shakes?
Tuna and chicken are two very good sources of protein. But don't eat too many tins of tuna, since I believe this can cause Mercury poisoning.
