Oops!

I have a water otter.

I call it a kettle !

A wonderful story, Tilly. Seems everyone benefited from this lovely creature, Molly. Animals can teach us a lot..

Even better news, Tilly:
Shetland man’s bond with otter becomes subject of award-winning film

Wretched link, grrrrr

It is on msn news that National Geographic are doing a documentary on Molly.

I love all animals.

As I intimated on the other thread, here lies danger.

Remember Terry Nutkins losing two fingers to Gavin Maxwell's Edal.  "Tame" otters can be very dangerous.

Who loves otters?Gavin Maxwell for one.His"Ring Of Bright Water"remains a classic,both book-wise and film-wise.

aye - they'll rip yer face off soon as look at you

Gavin Maxwell's life subsequent to Ring of Bright Water (book and film, as is being mooted here too) was far from a bed of roses, so it's hardly a recommendation.

Yes,far from it,canary, however he seems to be the author of his own misfortunes.Ring Of Bright Water sold hundreds of thousands of copies when first published, pity he didnt survive to see any profits of the film of the book.
