THe clues don't have definitions

I could answer very few

Please help me .

1a

Sort of woman relative,primarily - i.e not son (3,7)

Is it anagram of 

Wrienotson?

6a somewhat daunting (4)

Is it the 4 letter word in daunting?

2d

A resident between Mexico and Canada at the far ends? (5)

If this starts with M , my logic for 1a is wrong 

Top synonym for go?(6)

Does it start with T? If my logic for 6a is correct.

13a Take in, as in a word for view (4 letters) + a + a four letterword for "dig" as in do you "dig" it!

LeenaH - do you have the sketch yet and the performers of it? If you have then watch it as that will give you the theme of the crossword and where to find the definitions of each clue, and the puzzle will then become a lot easier!

Yes I saw the sketch many times. The only answers I got from there are Thatcher (I knew this without looking at the sketch) and Peerage ( not sure)

I still can't do 16a,19a,21a,25a,18d,23d,24d

 

I couldn't reply earlier as I was down with viral fever. Slightly better today

"is" taken out of "prise"(wrench) + a 4 letter word for peel

16a I think this is "destroy", but does "destroy" = malign?
