...a State Visit?

While they wouldn't want to appear obsequious, they need to move before some other country beats them to it.

While here he could dine with the king and address both houses of parliament.

Good idea - I'm sure Nigel will be available to conduct the introductions.

Is he not banned from the UK due to his criminal record?

I don't think Donald Trump gives two hoots about coming here (small fry)

Neither do I, Prudie.

He'll probably go to Scotland first for the golf and might ask Sir Keir to play a round.

More likely to be Angela R!

As long as possible, if ever

Isn't a State visit visiting the King anyway?

@cloverjo - you are showing your ignorance by questioning why we need to invite Trump to the uk ASAP and put out the red carpet.

A small hint - our largest trading partner amongst a multitude of reasons why the uk needs a healthy relationship with the USA.

The muppets we have in government have a lot of making up and grovelling to do. It sadly shows their lack of statesmanship by getting into that position.

I doubt he'd come after the insults that greeted him last time.  He doesn't need us.

Can he ride a horse?

Some here may remember Reagen was keen to be photographed with ER on horseback in Windsor Great Park.

Re-enacting that would provide a nice picture for his scrap book.

Just one snag with that plan, sandyRoe.  Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth is no more.

But the monarchy endures.  Charles and Donald could pose on horseback if a steed could be found to bear the Donald's weight.

Could do.

Personal preferences aside, it's the statesmanship thing to do.

So Barmy Starmy is unlikely to do it.
