Is Biden To Blame For Harris's Defeat?
//Democrat insiders have blamed “arrogant” Joe Biden for Kamala Harris’s election defeat, saying he set her up to fail by not dropping out of the race sooner.
“His legacy is in tatters,” said Jim Manley, a senior aide to former Democratic Senate majority leader Harry Reid. “The country is headed in a very dangerous direction and it’s due in part to his arrogance.”
“This is no time to pull punches or be concerned about anyone’s feelings,” Mr Manley added. “He and his staff have done an enormous amount of damage to this country.”
Mr Manley joined other influential Democrats criticising Mr Biden, who have said the party squandered months of campaigning when he held onto the presidential nomination too long.
Biden finally pulled out of the race in favour of the vice-president in late July.//

He is really.
He should never have wanted to run for a second term, being obviously too old. He should have accepted or been made to accept from the start that he was going to do one term and then step down.
That way the dems would have had time to go through a proper selection process and perhaps ended up with someone more acceptable to the American electorate.
He will now be forever remembered as the stubborn old fool whose pride helped to put the MAGA regime into power.
“OK this may sound weird, but has anyone considered that an awful lot of Americans may have been blooming peeved by all the world/foreigners mocking Trump?”
That’s a very good point, Jourdain.
The day after the election the left leaning elite and media luvvies were aghast at the result. Emily Maitlis had to be relieved of her duties on her own show and retire for a lie down as her co-presenter could not stop her swearing as she heard the results come in. LBC’s James O’Brien spent his entire three hours insulting more than 50% of Americans who voted. He attacked their intelligence, their morals, their integrity. The Guardian offered “emotional counselling” to any of its staff affected by the result.
He arrogance of these people is absolutely incredible. As you said, the same attitude prevailed after the Brexit vote. David Dimbleby announced the result in tones he would use if somebody had just run over his dog.
How dare these people denigrate so many millions of people simply because they don’t agree with them. The Left may get more support if they didn’t concentrate their efforts on things that most people could not care less about, but even more if they stopped insulting people by suggesting that they’ve voted the wrong way. It’s about time his attitude was called out.
I was desperately sorry (though not in the least surprised) when Labour were elected in July. But they were voted in under our system and that’s that. People voted for them for all sorts of reasons and I respect their decision. I wouldn’t dream of insulting them in the way Brexit supporters were and the way the Trump supporters have been under the past few days. It’s about time it stopped.
