Is Keir Starmer Really Going To Arrest...

At various times throughout the US election, we've heard mention of something called "The Special Relationship". We've heard it before, of course, but just what is it? What relationship? Why special?
There was no relationship whatsoever prior to WW2. When the US and GB became allies after the US declared war on Germany, the US wanted access to all code breaking systems and methods that GB had. Churchill wasn't in favour of giving the US access to "Ultra" and Bletchley Park but he knew we needed the US for virtually everything, materials, fuel, arms, food, so he reluctantly allowed the US to have access.
That's where "The Special Relationship" began. It didn't exist beforehand and in fact, the US had put together a plan in the 1930's called Warplan Red, which was a theoretical war between the USA and Great Britain, which involved America invading Canada and British Carribean territories.
Where is this "Special Relationship" now? What do we get from it? Especially in the wake of Brexit? Ask any American about it and they don't know what you're talking about. And before you ask, yes, I have spoken to some Americans about it. They'd never heard of it. You Brits! You don't half think you're important, don't you?! 😄

the "special relationship" is propaganda. it doesn't exist.
unless you count the relationship between a master and servant to be "special".
the USA tells us what to do, and we do it. we allow american hedge funds to buy up very valuable UK companies and siphon all their profit and innovation across the atlantic. we're always getting involved in their horrible forever-wars that are of no benefit to us.
anybody who talks about a "special relationship" between the countries is kidding themselves. we are one of many satellite states who are dependent on american power.
