Vaccine Error? Medical Negligence ??

On Thursday I went for my annual flu and Covid booster as I found out it was the Moderna, and I had 5 Pfizer jabs I decided I would just have the flu jab and come back at a later date. I know several people including my mother who had a bad reaction to the Moderna. So I spoke to the nurse I told her very clearly it was just the flu I was getting, she seemed quite distracted and really not quite with it, when it came to the injection she injected me and said so just to confirm you are having the Covid injection and the flu. I asked her what she was doing. She quickly pulled out the needle and discarded it, saying that no vaccine had gone in and proceeded to give me the flu jab. She went and spoke to her manager who confirmed that the syringe was withdrawn before the vaccine had been plunged and it was just my skin had been pierced. They were recording it as a near miss. It wasn't a near miss regarding the bruising on my arm!! They told me I could come back anytime next week without an appointment for the Moderna, I told them highly unlikely, I asked them for the complaints procedure to which they gave me. I then asked them about the Pfizer, they said in my region it was only available to under 18s unless in exceptional circumstances for adults, well I suggested she make an exceptional circumstance considering the nurses stupid mistake. I said that if she was to arrange the Pfizer for me I wouldn't put in a complaint in!! I help her if she helps me ! Good negotiating tactic I think! She is going to look into with it with the authorising team on anxiety grounds, so maybe? Is there in some way I could sue or claim compensation for medical negligence or assault? Surely if I was in America I could sue them for thousands! I have half a mind to pay privately to get the vaccine it costs about £100 and claim it back from them saying I have lost all trust in them

Gordie, I think you are worrying for nothing. It's probably more risky to refuse a jab than to accept it. The last thing you should consider is suing the NHS over a non-event. If you are really scared, then suing gets you nowhere apart from exacting revenge, and that's depriving others from NHS attention.

You don't pay at Boots and other pharmacies if you are eligible for the jab on the NHS

We have all had a mix of vaccines and been fine (all pensioners, two very elderly and in poor health)

I also think that you are worrying about nothing.  You have been assured that no vaccine was injected.  That's the end of the matter.  

I managed to get my flu jab yesterday, thank goodness (I'd had to cancel my appointment for one because I caught a chest infection). I wouldn't dream of having a Covid injection, by the way.

they say "the vaccine was not put into you" did you see the full syringe withdrawn??.i'm 74 and i have sworn no more vaccine's..they say it's a flu jab,but what else could be in them

Not sure if it matters whether you were harmed, you didn't want the covid vaccine and the nurse would have given it to you if you hadn;t intervened. People have been harmed by the vaccine and it's a legitimate choice not to have a certain type. I don't think I would expect compo, but might have put a complaint it, so they do things properly in the future.

I've decided to give the Covid jab a miss this year. And let this go out of my mind. The situation is living rent free in my mind, well now I am evicting it. A very dear friend of mine is at the end of life. It puts things into perspective. I hope I haven't offended anyone but I can be a total door handle at times and door handles have knobs attached !!!
