They just did things in a different way, to support businesses during some difficult times. But talking about chucking money about, how about a 22% pay increase for train drivers without any need for them to make any reforms. They gave a pay increase to perhaps one of the highest paid while allowing them to continue with their Spanish Customs, and asked pensioners to help pay for it by removing their WFA. As I have said before there are many Labour MP's who have been elected with a majority in the low hundreds, and some in double digits. It has been estimated that there are some 15,000 pensioners in these constituencies, and as some pass away, they are replaced with a new intake. Who do you think they will vote for at any election. I would hazard a guess, Conservative, Reform or Liberal, certainly not for Starmer & co.
15.14 Mr Nicebloke. Agree with you it will take time and money to put the UK at the top, after the damage the Tories have done in the last 14 years . But Labour will repair the damage and make Britain a Country to be proud of once again.....And then there will be blue birds all over the Country ....Just you wait and see.
It is interesting that the succesful business people have chosen to donate to the Reform party rather than the Labour circus or the Libs Dems. I am guessing they, like most of the UK population, have no confidence with this useless failed newly elected UKGov (on a very small number of votes) who have sofar made an absolue cluster of their short-term in office. What a mess.
