Is Keir Starmer Really Going To Arrest Benjamin Netanyahu?
'Benjamin Netanyahu faces arrest if he enters Britain. That is the welcome the Israeli leader will receive should he fancy another trip to the UK anytime soon. It comes after the International Criminal Court (ICC) on Thursday issued arrest warrants for Israel’s prime minister, along with former Israeli defence minister Yoav Gallant and Mohammed Deif of Hamas, who is thought to be already dead. Justifying the decision to issue warrants for the two Israeli politicians, the court said they shared criminal responsibility for ‘the war crime of starvation as a method of warfare; and the crimes against humanity of murder, persecution, and other inhumane acts.’
Downing Street has confirmed that it will respect the ICC’s decision once the UK domestic process had taken place
In response, the Israeli government has – unsurprisingly – heavily criticised the judgment. The United States (which is not an ICC member) has also ‘fundamentally’ rejected the court’s decision – stating that the ICC has no ‘jurisdiction over this matter’. The incoming Trump administration has warned of a ‘strong response to the antisemitic bias of the ICC and UN come January’ when Trump takes office.
In contrast, Downing Street has confirmed that it will respect the ICC’s decision once the UK domestic process had taken place. This is thought to reference the ratification of the warrant by a UK court. Starmer’s spokesman said the UK government would comply with its legal obligations but added there was no ‘moral equivalence’ between Israel and Hamas.'
The ICC, Ayatollahs without beards. 🙄

" - stop it with the hysterics, collateral damage whilst hunting vermin is not "genocide". You are one of the lefties I have some respect for but calling this genocide is not worthy of you. Genocide is what the nazis attempted in WW2.

This is a preposterous allegation. The fact is that Israel in the form of the IDF is, as it said it would do at the outset, attacking HAMAS, not Arabs, not Muslims. It is therefore stupid and inaccurate to call it genocide.
Genocide though, is exactly what HAMAS and many adherents of Islam are dedicated to doing to Jews, for no other reason than they are Jews:
Kill them wherever you come upon them..
Surah Al-Baqarah - 191
That is genocide !!
Untitled, I defy you to find anywhere in the history of Judaism an example of Jews - despite what they have had to suffer themselves, an example of genocide.
In fact in nearly 4,000 years of historical development, the Jewish people and their religion have displayed a remarkable adaptability and continuity.
In their encounter with the great civilizations, from ancient Babylonia and Egypt to Western Christendom and modern secular culture, they have assimilated foreign elements and integrated them into their own social and religious systems, thus maintaining an unbroken religious and cultural tradition.
Furthermore, each period of Jewish history has left behind it a specific element of a Judaic heritage that continued to influence subsequent developments, so that the total Jewish heritage at any given time is a combination of all these successive elements along with whatever adjustments and accretions have occurred in each new age.

khan yunis massacre 1956
rafah massacre 1956
kafr qasim massacre 1956
sabra and shatila massacre 1983
you will doubtless dismiss these because you approve of them and would like some more
Untitled; I've told you it was warfare and none of it including the present one was started by Jews.
In warefare s . t happens, but it wasn't genocide. Genocide is what Muslims do and have been doing for 1,300 years particularly, but not exclusively to the Jewish people.
Either give some clear evidence that Jews have committed genocide, or stop twittering.
how is it not genocide to line up and shoot men women and children because they are palestinian? that's what they did in the examples i gave. you know it and i know you know it.
answer: it's not genocide because you do not consider muslim arabs to be human.
if you're going to engage me khandro then do so honestly. i will not dance around these pathetic lies that you write in defense of atrocities.
Of course it isn't genocide.
Israel aren't targeting Hamas because they are Muslims, they're targeting them because Hamas are terrorists who committed atrocities on October 7th last year, unlike Hamas, of course, who openly advocate genocide by wishing to wipe Israel and Jews off the face of the planet.
BBC news sets out some facts which might be relevant to this thread..
"For Deif, the chamber found reasonable grounds to believe he was "responsible for the crimes against humanity of murder; extermination; torture; and rape and other form of sexual violence; as well as the war crimes of murder, cruel treatment, torture; taking hostages; outrages upon personal dignity; and rape and other form of sexual violence".
It also said there were reasonable grounds to believe the crimes against humanity were "part of a widespread and systematic attack directed by Hamas and other armed groups against the civilian population of Israel".
For Netanyahu and Gallant, who was replaced as defence minister earlier this month, the chamber found reasonable grounds to believe that they "each bear criminal responsibility for the following crimes as co-perpetrators for committing the acts jointly with others: the war crime of starvation as a method of warfare; and the crimes against humanity of murder, persecution, and other inhumane acts".
It also found reasonable grounds to believe that "each bear criminal responsibility as civilian superiors for the war crime of intentionally directing an attack against the civilian population".
The chamber also noted that it had rejected two Israeli challenges - one disputing the ICC’s jurisdiction over the Palestinian territories, and Israeli nationals specifically, and the other arguing that the ICC prosecutor had not given Israel the opportunity to investigate the allegations itself before requesting warrants.
The ICC is a court of last resort and is only supposed to act when domestic courts cannot, or will not, genuinely investigate or prosecute serious international crimes."
