I recently tried to buy something very cheap from Temu just out of curiosity. I could not check out, so many flashing pages offering free gifts, others telling me I had to buy x amount of items, then telling me I had to spend x amount.
In the end I gave up but was bombarded with emails before eventually blocking the site.
Lots more spam in my junk folder than ever before, can't be a coincidence.
I won't be bothering again
Earlier this year, I ordered and received 20 items from Temu. The most recent was ordered on May 21st and arrived on May 30th. Items I am happy with are usually the same items that can be purchased on other sites but at a lower price. Other items can be hit or miss. They can exceed expectations or be of less quality than anticipated.

If you are ok with Chinese firms getting unfair advantages over other nations' traders, and supporting the Chinese government in what they do, then fine, grab a bargain. It may not do the British economy any favours, or certain citizens of greater China, but you'll get a lower price, maybe. Personally I avoid Chinese firms on principle and only consider them if they are the only source of something I "need".
