How much money do you tend to spend for an 8yo for his birthday. I haven't got as much money as I use to so tend to feel a little guilty for not buying him as much anymore
Yeah I agree with Jenna ( hello lovely:) ), time is more precious to kids than anything. We never spend a fortune on the kids because it's not good for them to think stuff can just be obtained with no effort, but we do devote the whole day to them from 8.00 in the morning until they go to bed on their birthdays and do whatever tickles their fancy, bowling, paintballing, go hacking on the horses, swimming, skating, theme park... anything but just spend time with them.
20-30. depends if there is something they have asked for. Now they are coming into teenagers, I find it better to give them the cash and they can put it with any other money they get and buy something they want.
I am spending time with him. I'm taking him out for dinner on Monday and he's having a party on Tuesday (paid for by his dad) And next week I'm taking him to drayton Manor. My time with him comes automatically.
Mrs Elvis spends around 100,that includes a kids party which... to my annoyance...always has too much food that never gets eaten so I end up having mini sausage rolls, crisps, chicken nuggetts etc for lunch for the rest of the week
I was dreading the cost of this Christmas as I have five grandchildren, their parents, my partner and my mother to think of. Luckily though, my son and his ex both want large paintings for their separate new homes and my oldest granddaughter also wants another one for her new room. So, being an artist, I will be investing a lot of time and love, but less money this year. :o)
ummmm I too think that 20 is enough if you are going to be taking your son out as well. The time you will be spending with him has far greater value than anything else.
