C'est magnifique.....I want to see it in the flesh.

For once, congrats to the French.

Priorities eh?

Incroyable - vive la France et les Francais.

WWhen they get their act together - they are brilliant - even in small things..

I wonder who translated all those posts into English? I didn't think mods could amend posts. Is the editor working on  Sunday Night?

Naturellement, newmodarmy, pourquoi pas?

Odd...it opens up in French and then switches to English. Must be my phone as my laptop it didn't translate them earlier.

Ha...  jourdain is now showing as Jordan

Ha-ha!  Definitely not Jordan - although we used to live in a little town in France called 'L'isle Jourdain'  on the River Vienne.  There was a small island with a chateau on it and the whole lot had some sort of ancient connection with crusades and Jordan.

Interesting, though.

So very beautiful 🤩

jourdain. Did you ever take the jump?

No, Atheist,  I have absolutely no head for heights.  I did write a story about an impoverished, very elderly lady who raised cash by betting people that she couldn't do it, though!

In a strange way its destruction by fire brought the French together. I was particularly moved by the fact that there are so few old oak trees left of sufficient height to make the span length needed to replace some of the old beams, and farmers from all over France donated the their trees.

Sad to lose so many fine ancient oaks though.
