30 year old anti social man lives near me, on disability and other benefits, has a  girlfriend and 2 kids. They both have their own flat. He leads a full life. He's been going out weekdays to work at 8 till 5pm approx. He leaves 2 big dogs in his flat unattended all that time. He has been reported but nothing is done about it. How do they get away with it ?

They get away with it because nobody is bothered about it. Even when reported to the authoroties.

Is it the dogs, the work or the benefits that's got you wound up this early in the day?

Or the anti social behaviour?  It beats me how people know benefits others get.

How do you know he is 'on disability and benefits'?

Have you personally reported him for defrauding the system?

How do you know he is going to work?

Also just because nothing obvious is happening that you can see doesn't mean that it's not being looked into, the DWP gets 1000's of reports every week and it takes time to look into them.

Whatever the ins & outs of this particular case it is clear that there is widespread abuse of the benefits system. 2TK says he's gonna sort - I'm not holding my breath.

He openingly tells people about his business and that he is working while on benefits.  Just saying.

I once received a letter from the DWP Fraud Dept telling me I had to contact them and divulge any information I had about a certain person. I was told I had to respond, which I did. I got the impression that they had pre-conceived ideas about various things which was clouding their judgement. When I explained and illustrated a few things, they seemed surprised that what I was saying was different to what they thought was happening. I got the feeling from their side that there was a fait accompli about the whole thing. I never heard any more from them and I don't know what happened, as I didn't like to tell the person that the DWP had been asking questions, and that person never mentioned it either.

mysterious🙄

The only thing that would bother me would be the dogs being left alone tbh. But if he has a gf and kids then surely they are in and out all day, school runs etc??

Question Author

As I said they both have their own flats. Noone sees to the dogs all day

He could be bragging?

Have you personally reported it?

People can work full time and receive disability benefits

I'm not sure what the issue is. Are you trying to say he can't be on benefits if he claims to have a business? There are invisible disabilities you know.

As for the dogs, that's a different issue.

Question Author

I'm merely pointing out , how do they get away with defrauding the system ?

Where is the fraud? He is allowed to live on his own, he can work whilst claiming disability benefits.

Barry Read what I've said earlier

I have read all your posts. What benefits is he claiming?

Do you know where he works?

What has he been reported for?
