If Starmer has put the wind up civil servants' unions he's doing something right! "Trumpian" though! PMSL!

That's the trouble TTT, it's all wind - like a lot of his promises.

Probably Arrods, but lets give him a chance.

We seem to have a prime Minister who tells us beforehand what he's going to do before he doesn't do it and tells us afterwards what he's done, after telling us he's not going to do it.

“Sir Keir Starmer said "too many people in Whitehall are comfortable in the tepid bath of managed decline".”

Which, of course, is absolutely true.

“He [Dave Penman, General Secretary of the FDA] told BBC Newsnight civil servants "feel a sense of betrayal".”

Oh Dear. How sad. Never mind.

I read last week that those (supposedly) dealing with the small boat crisis are to be given “wellbeing areas”. These are described as “safe places” where they can go for a lie down if the rigours of their duties get all too much for them.

If Mr Starmer was “Trumpian” (or even Reaganian) many Civil Servants would be out on their ears.
