My Christmas pudding cloth has developed a whole while hanging.  How can I reboil it on Christmas Day so that eater doesn't get in.

You could steam in a basin with greaseproof paper directly on the top of the pudding. Tie a double layer of foil over the bowl, remembering to put the pleat in the middle.
