I know that tatts are marmite material...love them or loath them. But was at the tattooist today for 3 hours with my son why he was having a cover up tat done. (And a shout out to Artistic Tattooing studio in Crewe for an amazing cover up) Ended up having my granddaughters name inked on my arm myself. 😁

Already got my son's name tattooed anyway.

Any ABers got names tattooed?

Tattooist was talking to me about how many names of ex's he's asked to cover up.

My son and grandaughter are one thing but I would never have the name of a partner inked on my skin....you just never know!

No tattoos here, nor on OH.  He's ex -Merchant navy in his youth as well.

Never understood why folk would want to mar their skin like that. No accounting for taste though.

No, I can remember my family's names

You must be joking!

Seems very few have Nails. Or maybe no one is admitting it ;-)

Love Marmite, loathe tattoos.

I might get one if it wasn't for all the little pricks involved.

Many moons ago, Nailedit, my friend asked me to accompany him to a local tattooist - after the pub had shut! Once there, he offered to pay for my tattoo if i went first. He wanted to see if it hurt😊.

Anyway afyer a while i agreed and asked the tattooist to cover up some self-administered tats from my teens. He did an excellent job; a crown above a rose which had a scroll above and below, covering at least 2/3 of my left forearm. He asked me if i wanted my partner's name in there and i immediately declined, opting instead for 'True Love'.

Which turned out to be anything but. So glad i didn't have her name indelibly inked on my arm.

It didn't particularly hurt and while i was in the chaor, his wife brought him a pint pot of tea, which she put by my side. Obviously i thought it was for me and she had to go and make a fresh one.
