Clover; There are more than 300 million people in the US & it has been claimed that there are more guns than people, if you stopped the sales of guns today, it would make no difference to gun crimes.

Longer term it would make a difference. It's the availability that allows the culture to be as it is. But there is an issue regarding 3D printed "ghost guns" though. Maybe they've left it too late to change the prevailing common practice of arming oneself with firearms.

Just what do you think they can do?  There are an estimated 400m guns in the US and who knows how many illegal weapons. Yes they could stop auto and semi auto but it would not make any difference to this.

The problem is not guns but what drives people to do this.  Other countries have guns and this doesnt happen.

And of course if you remove guns then some other letha weapon gets used as we see here: Cars and knives.
