My sensible head would love to live on the Orkney Isles and my non-sensible head would love to live off-grid in Alaska

Next door to you. 🤣

I love my home down here in the SW, I love Menorca and South Africa. I could see myself living in either of those places, very happily.

Buckingham Palace

British Columbia, Canada.

Poolewe.

I like living where I am.

Melbourne. We did contemplate it 20 years or so ago when the exchange rate meant that we could have sold up here and had a very comfortable lifestyle. Since then the exchange rate has changed and living costs in Australia are now very high. To be honest I am quite relieved that we didn't take the plunge - I hate large and poisonous spiders and snakes.

1.  The north coast of the Firth of Forth in Fife, somewhere like Crail

2. Dent or Hawes in the western Dales.

3. Normandy - as in the Pecheur.

Caribbean for me!! Sun, rum & sea!!!

Somewhere in the Scottish highlands surrounded by mountains and with a sea/loch view.

Tokala

Genuinely interested - what is the attraction of living off grid ?

I watch programmes on the TV about people living off grid and always consider it takes a certain type of person to do that .

Crianlarich for me.

New Zealand or Cyprus

I don't think we've found a suitable planet yet.

try mars OG but it's a lot smaller than the Earth, though strangely, not a lot of people know that.

Douglas @ 19.46 Nice one Douglas...Come on TTT this has got to to be the the best answer ever. Go for it TTT.

A boat on the Broads, assuming it's not changed beyond recognition since I was there last, which was a long time ago.

I'd like to visit many places, but that's not happening now.

I've been to many countries, but to be honest I'm always glad to get home, so I guess that means I'm happy where I live.

The problem for me is when you visit places/countries its normally short term, so you never truely get to know if you could actually live there.

I know people who have sold up and moved to Spain, but lost a lot of money, and came home again, so I suppose the grass can always seem greener elsewhere, but trust me it definitely isn't necessary.

Norfolk coast, anywhere between Cromer and Wells next the sea,

Or maybe North Wales,  maybe on Anglesey so long as I can go birdwatching and get to decent shops once in a while.
