Several of these have been answered on earlier threads, Matakari -so easier for you to look than for me to answer (again in some cases)!

Matakari, as this one's proving so much of a struggle for you, you'd maybe fare much better with the latest EV (from Chalicea, one of your favourites) or the latest Private Eye puzzle (packed with anagrams)?

30 Cry about skinned baby animal that has little fat (6,5) : SI?????E?M

Not entirely clear on wordplay except cry being SCREAM, but I have:

SI(N)GLE CREAM

baby  animal = piglet, skinned = (p)igle(t)

Ahh. Thanks. I'm stuck on the bottom quarter. 49D Inlaid fancy items with pace (9)

?M???????

38 Rite amended in article, books and ordinal (10): T??????

THIRTEENT(H)

THE + (RITE*) + NT (books)

Piffpoff, I'm away from home.  49 D is just an anagram (fancy)of Items and Pace (if I'm remembering correctly!)

Thanks! Never even tried to anagram. Doh!!!!

Thanks, PiffPoff - glad that helped.
