Video Edit, How To Rotate To Play On Tv
Some videos I've taken on my phone play absolutely fine on my PC but need rotating 90° to play on my tv. Don't understand why, but is there an easy way to edit the mp4s so I don't have to tilt my head to watch on tv. I can rotate on the PC but can't save.
Would it mean I'd need 2 copies of the the files, 1 that plays on the PC, & another for the tv ?

However you need to be a bit wary when it comes to using them, as some (most? / all?) might want you to download something which includes some form of malware.
A better option would be to install a free video editor, such as Capcut:

and then follow the instructions here:

I downloaded Capcut, Buenchico. Although I selected rotation of 90°, it actually turned it upside down - 180° - & distorted it by squishing it flat.
I've since tried online_video_cutter but the tv wouldn't play the files. So, I've also used videoconverterfactory to convert to an mp4 format playable on an LG tv. The files play now but none are the right way up. Have tried rotating 90°, 180° & 270°. It just doesn't make sense, have never had this problem in the past.
It's all I've been doing pretty much today as I really want to put a playlist together on the tv of the subject in the videos I lost 11 days ago, but am now truly stumped & upset 😢
Will give that a go too, bookbinder, thanks. Can't help but think I'm missing something simple.
I noticed a rotate tab on videoconverterfactory so have tried that too, but it still rotates too far. BUT, just tried it for the umpteenth time, WITHOUT rotating it & - it's the right way up ! BUT - it's been squished again.
Now experimenting with different file formats as setting it to my tv type only works if I rotate it. GOT to be something simple.
